Many individual Martin County School District (MCSD) schools achieved remarkable FCAT scores. Among the highlights:

• Hobe Sound Elementary (HSE) 4th grade math scores were the highest in the District at 90% of its students scoring at or above proficiency. HSE 4th grade reading scores also showed the largest gain of any MCSD elementary school, increasing from 72% of its students scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 84% in 2007.
• Jensen Beach Elementary (JBE) 5th grade reading scores were the highest in the District, with 91% of its students scoring at or above proficiency.
• J.D. Parker School of Science, Math and Technology (JDP) 5th grade reading, math, and science scores showed the largest gains among any MCSD elementary school. The percentage of 5th grade students scoring at or above proficiency in reading increased from 59% in 2006 to 84% in 2007. JDP 5th grade math scores increased from 42% in 2006 to 65% in 2007. JDP 5th grade science scores increased from 17% in 2006 to 47% in 2007.
• Crystal Lake Elementary 4th grade math scores showed the largest gain among 4th grade math scores district-wide., increasing from 66% of students scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 83% in 2007.
• Felix A. Williams Elementary 5th grade science scores were the highest among MCSD elementary schools, with 67% scoring at or above proficiency in science.
• Indiantown Middle School (IMS) 8th grade reading scores showed the largest reading gain among any MCSD middle school, increasing from 26 percent of students scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 38% in 2007. IMS 7th grade math scores also showed the largest math increase among MCSD middle schools, increasing from 60% of its students scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 72% in 2007.
• Stuart Middle School (SMS) 8th grade math scores showed the largest gain among 8th grade math scores district-wide. SMS 8th grade scores increased from 66% scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 78% in 2007. SMS 7th grade reading scores also had the largest reading gain among 7th grade reading scores in the district, increasing from 68 percent scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 79% in 2007.
• Hidden Oaks Middle School earned the highest percentage of students scoring at or above proficiency in each grade level in reading, math, science among MCSD middle schools.
• Martin County High School 9th grade reading had the largest reading gains among any MCSD high school, increasing from 52% scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 63% in 2007.
• South Fork High School 11th grade science scores showed the largest science gain among MCSD high schools, increasing from 47% scoring at or above proficiency in 2006 to 54% in 2007.
• Jensen Beach High School had the highest percentage of students scoring at or above proficiency in each grade level tested for reading, math, and science.
