Felix A. Williams Elementary School will be closed on Thursday, March 26th

Due to the brush fire and smoky conditions remaining near Felix A. Williams Elementary, the school will be closed for students and staff tomorrow, Thursday, March 26th.   All other schools in the district will be open tomorrow and following their regular schedules. 

Important Information for the Parents of Felix A. Williams Elementary School

Due to a brush fire near the campus of Felix A. Williams Elementary, all students and staff have been evacuated and transported by bus to Martin County High School. All students and staff are safe. The evacuation was a precautionary measure. Those students who normally ride a bus home from school will be taken by school bus to their normal drop-off location. All other students must be picked up by their parents or guardians from Martin County High School. Felix A. Williams Elementary students are being housed in the Martin County High School gymnasium until they are reunited with their parents.

To pick up their child from Martin County High School, parents of Felix A. Williams Elementary students will need to bring their identification.

Parents are urged to be patient throughout this process. We thank them in advance for their support and understanding. The district will continue to keep the public informed of any new developments by using the district's outbound calling system and through the local media.
