  • How can I find out what school my child will be attending?

    Descriptions of each school’s boundaries can be found on this website. Click here for the Attendance Boundaries website. If you need further assistance, the Martin County School District’s Facilities Department can identify your child’s school. The phone number is 772-223-3105.

  • My family is relocating to Martin County. What documents will I need to enroll my children in school and where do I go to enroll?

    You should go to your child’s new school to enroll. You will need to bring with you:

    Proof of residence -- FPL or Comcast cable bill with the service address listed, notarized rental or lease agreement, or construction permits.
    Health records -- Children entering a Florida public school for the first time must have a Florida Certificate of Immunization (form 680)

    2007-2008 School Year (Click here for 2008-2009 Immunization Requirements)

    For incoming students K thru 6, fully immunized means:

    • 5 doses of Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis Vaccine
    • Four doses of Polio Vaccine
    • Two doses of Measles, Mumps, Rubella Vaccine
    • Three doses of Hepatitis B Vaccine
    • Varicella Vaccine (If child has not had chicken pox)

    Students in grades 7 through 12 are also required to have:

    • Tetanus (Td) Booster or Tetanus Acellullular Pertussis Booster (Tdap)
    • Hepatitis B and MMR vaccines must be up to date

    Students who are not fully immunized will not be allowed to start school.

    Physical Examination Requirement - All children entering Martin County Schools for the first time must present a physical examination on Form 3040. A child transferring from another state must present a physical form completed by a licensed physician, nurse practioner, physician’s assistant. All physicals must be completed within a year of school entry date in order to be valid.

    Birth Certificate- A certified copy of a birth certificate or acceptable substitute is required by Florida law for children entering kindergarten.

    School Records- Items such as withdrawal forms, standardized test scores and recent report cards will help the school place your child appropriately. If you do not have these items, provide the school with the name and address of your child’s previous school so that the necessary information can be obtained.

  • How old does my child have to be to begin school?

    Pre-School
    : The Martin County School District participates in the state’s free Voluntary Pre-K program. Children must be 4 years old by September 1st to enroll in the school year session. For the summer session, children must be 4 years old and preparing to enter kindergarten. For more information on the Voluntary Pre-K program call 219-1893, extension 103.
    Kindergarten: Students enrolling in kindergarten must be 5 years old by September 1st of the current school year.

  • When is the first/last day of school? When is Winter Break and Spring Break?

  • How can I find out about my child’s school bus schedule?

    You can view the current school bus schedules within the Martin County School District on this website. Click here to view the bus schedules. If you need additional assistance, contact the Transportation Department at 219-1287.

  • I graduated from high school in the Martin County School District, how can I get a copy of my transcripts?

    You need to contact the School District’s Records Department. The phone number is 772-219-1200, ext. 30315.

  • I am an adult who would like to complete the requirements for a high school diploma. What are my options to earn an adult high school diploma or a GED?

    Day and evening programs are available throughout the county for individualized instruction and preparation for the GED exam. Classes are free of charge.
