Jill Ann Boudreau Named District’s Teacher of the Year
On Friday, February 1st, during a ceremony at Club Med in Port St. Lucie, Jensen Beach Elementary School teacher Jill Ann Boudreau was named the Martin County School District’s Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Boudreau has 23 years of teaching experience, including nine years with the Martin County School District at Jensen Beach Elementary. She is currently teaching kindergarten and has worked to successfully mainstream autistic students into her classroom. “Mrs. Boudreau exemplifies all of the qualities that are wonderful about our teachers. She is not only dedicated to providing all of her students with a supportive and positive learning environment, but she also takes an active role in her school’s overall success. Her enthusiasm, skills as an educator, and her willingness to help in any capacity, make Mrs. Boudreau an outstanding role model for her peers,” said Superintendent Dr. Sara Wilcox.
Mrs. Boudreau will now represent the Martin County School District in the competition to become the Florida Department of Education’s 2009 Teacher of the Year.
